Community Outreach
We at Bethel don't see our faith as some passive activity we do on Sundays sitting in the pew. It's a priority for us to be engaged in making our community better place.
We have a variety of local community outreach efforts we are a part of. We also open our building up to a variety of groups and organizations to host their meetings, ministries and gathering.
Activities at The Church
Trunk or Treat - Annual Youth-driven Halloween community outreach.
Strawberry Festival - A long standing community outreach tradition with homemade ice cream.
Sausage, Scrapple, Soup & Bake Sale - a very popular church fundraiser and community sharing activity.
Blood Mobile - We serve as a Juniata Valley site for Red Cross blood drives.
Girl Scouts - A local troop meets regularly at our facility.
Engaging the Community
Juniata Valley School District Backpack Program - We're regularly collecting supplies for children to take home with them.
Local 4-H - Many of our youth and congregation members are active members and leaders of the local 4-H chapter.
Collections for Huntingdon Food Bank - We're often running collections for the local food bank, as well as assisting at the community soup kitchen.
HOPE Fundraiser - This is an annual basket auction fundraiser we host to collect funds to give to a selected family in need in our community.
Christmas Caroling - A time-honored tradition is visiting our shut-in church and community members with a song and tray of cookies.
Flower and Gift Distribution to Shut-ins - Our deacons and community members are actively reaching out to those in need of some company in our community.
Supporting Local Ministries
Campus Ministry at Juniata College - A part of our mission collections go to support the important work of caring for students attending Juniata College.
CHAMP - Many of our youth and community members are actively supporting the work of CHAMP in our community.
Crossroads Pregnancy Center - We work hard to support this valued ministry to our local community.
Vacation Bible School
Vaction Bible School is something we look forward to hosting every year for our community. Be sure to pay attention to the events calendar for the dates for this summer!
